The purpose of the current study was to clarify the advantages of USG over the common Widal test, Typhi dot IgM, and hemoculture in the diagnosis of enteric fever. 100 paediatric patients between the ages of one and fifteen were enrolled in the research. Typhi dot-IgM tests performed in the hospital's paediatric division revealed that they all had enteric fever. The USG's goal was to evaluate the pertinent results. On the same day as the USG examination, blood samples for the CBC, LFT, and blood culture were collected. According to USG assessment of confirmed cases of enteric fever, 25% had gall bladder abnormalities, 23% had hepato-splenomegaly, 11% had hepatomegaly, 1% had enlarged mesenteric lymph nodes (MLNs), and 3% had thickened caecum wall and ileocaecal obstruction.
