Study on the Impact of Applying Blockchain Technology in the Processes of the Health Industry Especially in the Field of Health Oriented Products. Case Study: Health Industry Society of Isfahan City | Chapter 13 | Issues and Development in Health Research Vol. 7

 


In today's globe, the health industry is one of the largest, accounting for more than 10% of gross domestic product in developed countries. Patient information management subsets, pharmaceutical and biomedical research, prescription and drug use management, medical records and test results, telemedicine, health insurance claim and payment, supply chain management agent set, production, marketing, distribution, Sales, communication with stakeholders, internal and external commerce, monitoring and tracking of health-oriented products, particularly human medicine, are all included in the health industry. This study identifies and analyses the numerous issues that interrupt successful processes in healthcare operational cycles in order to determine the impact of implementing developing blockchain technology solutions and their benefits, particularly in health-centric organisations. Increased growth of information technology, information science, and its applications, particularly the emergence and penetration of blockchain technology, has implications not only for the production, sale, support, and supervision of health-related products, particularly human-based medicines, but also for the transformation of information and communication infrastructures, blockchain-based systems, capabilities, accuracy, speed, and trust in health industry systems and in the supply of raw materials. Levels of Standards, Requirements, and Supervision Drugs in organisations, companies, and individuals involved in this industry will create new business models, resolving the vexing difficulties, and transforming the global health industry.

Methodology of Study: By conducting open interviews with health industry experts, the process of identifying and determining independent and dependent variables, the design of a questionnaire based on the research objectives and hypotheses, the validity and reliability of the questionnaire by surveying experts, and the pre-test, the case was reviewed and approved. By distributing, filling out, and collecting surveys, as well as doing statistical analysis on the data using SPSS 26, the results were evaluated and interpreted.

Conclusions and Findings: Implementing blockchain-based solutions and leveraging their benefits for health industry components such as a system for tracking, tracking, and controlling the authenticity of health-related goods, an electronic health record system, and competitiveness in international and global trade is a necessary, meaningful, and beneficial step.
