COVID-19 was linked to a higher rate of depression and suicide, which became a social issue. A 30-year-old heavy smoker made a suicidal attempt, and his brain MRI, obtained six months after his mild COVID-19 pneumonia was treated without the use of heparin, revealed multi-particulate high intensity in a T2-weighted imaging. His depressive condition and anosognosia are thought to be caused by multi-microthrombosis in the parietal area. Brain imaging is a crucial test for detecting vascular aspects of COVID-19 neuropsychiatric symptoms.
