Case Report on Rehabilitation of a Class III Hemimandibulectomy Patient with Twin-occlusion Prosthesis | Chapter 07 | Recent Developments in Medicine and Medical Research Vol. 7

Due to the jaw's discontinuity, the residual mandible deviates toward the resected side.

A patient who has had a hemimandibulectomy can be rehabilitated in a variety of ways. Due to early squamous cell carcinoma of the left mandibular alveolus, the patient in this case report had class III hemimandibulectomy. He sought treatment in the prosthodontics department because he was having difficulties masticating and was concerned about his appearance.

The goal of this case study is to show how to rehabilitate a hemimandibulectomy using complete dentures with twin occlusion to restore function and improve facial attractiveness.
