The use of Ohm's law in the theory of linear AC circuits is shown to be both theoretical and experimental evidence of the physical reality of imaginary numbers. As a result, the version of the special theory of relativity (STR) taught in all physics textbooks, which uses the concept of light speed non-exceedance to reject the physical reality of imaginary numbers, is erroneous.
