“The Generalized Van-der-Waals-Bertlo Equation” (Part I): Description of the Gas Evaporation Line | Chapter 5 | Newest Updates in Physical Science Research Vol. 14

Only the Van-der-Waals and Berthelot equations, as well as their generalisations, are considered in this study. The evaporation curves for the Van-der-Waals and Berthelot gases are calculated. The evaporation curve of actual gases was found to lie somewhere between that of Van-der-Waals and Berthelot gases. The generalised Van-der-Waals-Berthelot equation is proposed, which qualitatively and quantitatively characterises evaporation curves of actual gases. The generalised Van-der-Waals and Berthelot equation was also shown to appropriately represent other real-world features.
