Under age-dependent harvesting conditions, a discrete
age-structured Bernardelli, Lewis, and Leslie (BLL) population model for a
single species is created. Harvesting takes place here following an early stage
in which the species does not grow much. Its rate is proportional to the
available bio-mass (number of species) of different age groups, and it declines
with the age of the species when a monotonic decreasing catch per unit effort
parameter is used. The modified Leslie matrix is calculated for the current
models. The ratio of population densities with regard to time is used
to investigate the system's stability. This type of research is critical in
population biology because it provides insight into the species' future biomass
and long-term viability.
