Investigating the Foreign Direct Investment, Intellectual Property Rights and Economic Growth: A Panel Study from Arabic Countries | Chapter 12 | Modern Perspectives in Economics, Business and Management Vol. 7

The impact of intellectual property rights (IPR) protection and FDI inflows on economic growth is examined in this study. The empirical study is based on a model of simultaneous equations that was applied to a panel of Arab countries from 1970 to 2011.

Empirical evidence suggests that the level of IPR protection in Arab nations has had a favourable impact on FDI. They claim that improving IPR protection also boosts economic growth. FDI inflows have a negative impact on total factor productivity growth. Policymakers will benefit greatly from the findings of this study.
