Analysing the Impact Strength of Polymer Composite Materials (PCM) Fiber Reinforced in the Fiberboat Application | Chapter 8 | Recent Trends in Chemical and Material Sciences Vol. 1

Fiberglass-reinforced Polymer Composite Materials (PCM) provide crucial mechanical properties for fibre boat building. For a fibre boat, mechanical testing is critical. The mechanical properties of this study were determined using the impact test. Each test used varied weight percentages of 99.5 percent -0.5 percent, 99 percent -1 percent, 98.5 percent -1, 5 percent, 98 percent -2 percent, and 97.5 percent -2.5 percent, as well as varying levels of fibreglass lamination CSM 300, CSM 450, and WR 600. The results show that the higher the percentage hardener used, the higher the impact strength (413,712 MPa), and the more laminate utilised, the higher the impact strength 2.0 wt.-percentage (416,487 MPa).
