An Empirical Study on Stress Coping Strategies among the Employees in Information Technology Sector | Chapter 16 | Modern Perspectives in Economics, Business and Management Vol. 5

 Stress is a physical, mental, and emotional reaction that happens when a person reacts to external pressure. This paper looks into the stress coping mechanisms of employees in the information technology industry. This study looks at the various factors that cause stress among IT workers, as well as the various coping techniques they use to manage stress and maintain work-life balance. A descriptive research design was used in this study, and results were derived using both primary and secondary data. The study's sample size was set at 120 people, with participants drawn from four different IT companies in the Hyderabad area. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data, and the Chi-square test and ANOVA were used for statistical analysis. The findings demonstrated a substantial mean difference between the respondents' age factor and the stress coping mechanisms they employ to balance their job and personal lives.
