It is proposed a new approach for solving quantum electrodynamics equations. This approach avoids the need to sever quantum correlators and bridges the difference between Maxwell gas theories and superconductivity and superfluidity theories. The interaction of a Maxwell gas with a transverse quantized electromagnetic field is investigated. The quantum theory of Fresnel reflection is used as an example. Quantum correlations indicate that photon states associated with the scattering layer exist well beyond the scattering layer. Such photons, in particular, produce two previously unseen reflected beams.
