Using a two-dimensional discrete Fourier transform of a digital micro-image of the filament under investigation, the paper proposes a non-hardware diffraction approach for computer control of the filament twist value. The approach entails applying a two-dimensional Fourier transform in a sequential manner. First, the Fraunhofer diffraction pattern from the micro-image is calculated using this algorithm, and then the second diffraction pattern is calculated using the same programme from the image of the first. There are no speckles in the second diffraction pattern. which helps you to automatically measure the twist of the thread using digital values displayed on the monitor. The method's effectiveness is demonstrated using twisted yarn model samples and commercial synthetic yarn samples.
