This paper describes a method for conducting a rapid search for the localization of Earthquake foci (Hypocenters) when taking into account the Earth's spheroidal geometry. The scan is divided into two parts: first, geodesic pathways are laid out on the spheroidal surface between the known epicentre and each of the active sensors (sensors for which a large number of P-wave onsets are known), and then the scan can be performed using these pathways as guides for the P2P ray tracing used to shape the scan itself.
