Solid State Ionics, which have a high ionic conductivity and a low activation energy for ion migration at temperatures below their melting point, are a rapidly emerging research topic. Because of their unusual transport properties and possible applications, these solid electrolytes have piqued the interest of researchers. The dispersion of a non-conducting and chemically non-interacting phase in the solid electrolyte is one of the most recent approaches. Dispersed solid-electrolyte systems are the name given to these electrolytes. The characteristics of scattered solid-electrolytes are briefly reviewed in this chapter.
