Tooth auto transplanting is a method that has been used to save teeth for a long time. Third molars are the most common donor teeth. A study of the current literature was carried out, with a focus on the use of the third molar as a donor tooth. Appropriate patient selection is critical to the technique's success. Other prognostic factors also contribute to improved healing and the overall success of the method. Auto transplanting appears to be a practical and cost-effective procedure, according to the existing literature. However, there is insufficient literature on the use of third molars as donor teeth for auto transplantation, and there are currently no evidence-based standards or protocols in place. This chapter examines the use of autografts to save teeth, as well as their indications, which are backed by a clinical case. It also goes through the protocols that the authors use for wisdom tooth autotransplantation.
