The current study gives a list of Molluscan species found in Hattikuni Reservoir in Karnataka's Yadgir District, as well as their abundance. From February 2014 to January 2016, the study was conducted over a two-year period. Molluscan fauna was collected over the course of three seasons by returning to the same location. Eleven molluscan species, nine of which are Gastropods and two of which are Bivalves, were collected and identified from the reservoir. The reservoir had two species of Bivalves, Parreysia corrugate and Lamellidens corrianus; interestingly, these two species of Bivalve, as well as Lymnea luteola, L. acuminata, Melania (Palitia scabra), and M. scabra var elegans, were the most prominent Gastropdes in the reservoir. According to the findings, higher Gastropoda dominance in the reservoir than Bivalvia can be used as bio-indicators of pollution and ecosystem health.
