Salah, Prayers in Maintenance of Physical Health in Context of “Stand, Pray, There is Shifa/Healing in Prayers” (Hadees. Ibne Maja) | Chapter 9 | Recent Developments in Medicine and Medical Research Vol. 3

When providing physical therapy and rehabilitation services to clients or patients, the rehabilitation team should always consider the patients' social and mental well-being. When teaching the exercise plan in scientific terms or language that is difficult for the patients to understand and follow, the patient may be given a plan that includes some daily activities. This page focuses on Salah (prayer), which is conducted five times a day by millions of Muslims. This Salah (prayer) patterns are beneficial for maintaining muscle strength and can help with physiological well-being, such as self-confidence and self-esteem. Salah (prayer) involves motions such as standing, bowing, prostration, and sitting. These activities provide full range of motion and muscle strength. These small motions could serve as a model for regaining muscle strength and improving brain activity. There is solid evidence that moderate-intensity activities should be done on a daily basis and on a regular basis. Salah (prayer) is a free-hand activity that can help youngsters, the elderly, and those with physical disabilities maintain their physical health.
