Globally, retailers occurrence increased levels of challenges had connection with product returns. The causes of raised customer returns range from client dissatisfaction, product blame to mere deception. The aim of this paper search out explore the friendship between fruit returns and business act in selected retail shops in Cape Town. This research accepted a deductive and emotional worldview that is more interpretive in type to suit the exploratory study. A concerning qualities not quantities research approach using picked shops and Qualitative Data Analysis was employed. Purposive non-contingency sampling was used to interview eleven shop managers in Cape Town. Raw data was duplicated, coded and ideas were generated manually utilizing MS Word. Four themes were create and the findings accompanied that the relationship middle from two points returns and shop performance is principally ‘indirect’ than ‘direct’, ‘positive or negative’, ‘valuable or beneficial’ and ‘minor or irrelevant’. The analyst recommends that retailers remove returns entirely and charge manufacturers’ warranties and guarantees. In addition to this, retailers must issue in-store vouchers instead of cash refunds. Implement intermittent returns policy review to curb policy abuse or procedure manipulation by two together staff and consumers. This research focused on ‘clothing returns’ so there is need for review course in other commodity returns categories.
