Detection of ICT-based Border between Indonesia and Singapore| Chapter 10 | Novel Perspectives of Geography, Environment and Earth Sciences Vol. 1

This study inquires to show maritime facets and shipbuilding technology and their connection with public society through transnational ideas. With globalization, and to expand networks, people literally need sea conveyance to support the transnational process. The Chinese population of Batam, a society group in the city of Batam, cannot be separated from the extreme intensity of conveyance between Batam and Singapore. Since they moved by boat from the Chinese shore, the Batam Chinese have existed on the archipelago for centuries. Because of their diligence, social networks, and closeness to Singapore, Batam Chinese have dominated the local saving. The transnational concept is a form of friendly network. In this case, transnationalism is visualized as a social network betwixt Chinese in Batam and Singapore. The relation 'tween Batam and Singapore covers many sectors, containing tradition, frugality, trade, and added social actions. In the tradition of transnational network 'tween China and Batam in terms of Chinese houses, the Chinese’ transnational temple network interlinks all churches in the foreign nations and in China itself.
