Phytochemical and Pharmacological Aspects of Thespesia populnea| Chapter 4 | Cutting Edge Research in Biology Vol. 3

 Thespesia populnea is a limited tree in the Malvaceae family, usually found in the lush regions and coastal woodlands of India. The various parts concerning this plant like roots, bark, leaves, flowers and fruits are famous to possess various pharmacological properties. The presence of a expansive range of chemical compounds in the way that alkaloids, carbohydrates, flavonoids, glycosides, phenols, saponins, tannins, terpenoids etc. are responsible for its differing pharmacological properties. The objective of the review is to provide a devote effort to something the traditional uses, phyotochemical and pharmacological facets of Thespesia populnea for easy access of analysts intending to bother the wide range of active synthetic constituents in this place plant.
