Stevia rebaudiana that is commonly famous as sweet leaf herb is used to extract non caloric sweet steviol glycosides. Thus based on handy reports, an attempt has been fashioned to review on Stevia rebaudiana, its chemical arrangement, biosynthesis of steviol glycosides, application, education, and phytochemical screening in context of allure medicinal and drug importance.A literature search was administered on the web utilizing Google Scholar and PubMed as search platforms. More than two-thirds of the remarks are within the last fifteen age.According to the literature, S. rebaudiana leaves contain non caloric steviol glycosides in addition to pharmaceutically significant other phytochemicals. Miccropropagation is ultimate effective method for beating the limitations of usual propagation methods. In vitro educations have the potential to extract important phytochemicals secondhand in the pharmaceutical, food (spice agents, cuisine additives), and perfume energies.
