Implementation of an Efficient Scheme for Dynamic Channel Allocation Using Intelligent Agent in Mobile Communication | Chapter 08 | Novel Perspectives of Engineering Research Vol. 2

Mobile communication is becoming increasingly popular. Resource flexibility is one of the most important challenges in the next generation of mobile communication. Several tactics are necessary to increase the network's efficiency and flexibility in order to deal with new services and adapt new traffic patterns and characteristics. In mobile communication, the efficiency of channel allocation is critical. The purpose of this study is to offer a distributed dynamic channel allocation strategy that makes use of intelligent agents to boost network efficiency and flexibility. This channel allocation technique will provide an efficient solution in moderate and heavy load circumstances. The agent architecture used gives base stations additional autonomy and a method for allowing co-operation and negotiation between them; this autonomy and co-operation helps the network to be more flexible in coping with new traffic conditions while also boosting overall network robustness. We compared the performance of the Distributed FCA and DCA schemes and found that the FCA scheme's average call dropping probability is 96 to 98 percent, while the DCA scheme's average call dropping probability is 26 to 28 percent in various conditions, implying that the distributed DCA scheme is more efficient than the FCA scheme.
