The iris must be positioned in the ideal symmetrical position before an ocular prosthesis can be made. Any asymmetry in this position causes the patient's eyes to squint, which has a psychological consequence. A properly fitted iris gives the ocular prosthesis a natural and attractive appearance. This case study demonstrates the usage of a transparent graphic grid held in place by a spectacle frame that is easy to use and does not require any assistance.
