Study on Radialisation of Ulna in Post Infective Gap Non Union Radius- A Viable Reconstruction Option | Chapter 7 | Research Trends and Challenges in Medical Science Vol. 7

Context: Contaminated non-both forearm is an uncommon complication but holds a brunt on the skill of the patient and surgeon. As each case is handled separately, unique management procedures are missing. Event: A male of seven years of age was diagnosed with a fracture case managed elsewhere, both bone forearm(L) with chief pain symptoms and high grade fever without sinus discharge. First with external fixator application (JESS) and then followed by ulna radialisation, a two-staged procedure was designed. Conclusions: While due to single bone construction, this technique leads to some limitation of movements but provides appropriate functional status along with cost efficiency.
