Investigating the Effect of Pseudomonas Fluorescens on Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. Gladioli Causing Corm Rot Disease of Gladiolus | Chapter 9 | Cutting-edge Research in Agricultural Sciences Vol. 4

In order to find out the efficacy of Pseudomonas fluorescens on the fusarium corm rot pathogen Fusarium oxysporum f, a comprehensive analysis was performed. Hey, sp. Department of Plant Safety Gladioli, Allahabad Deemed-University Agricultural Institute, Allahabad. The world's most damaging gladiolus disease is Fusarium wilt, caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. Hey, sp. Gladioli; Gladiolus, due to wilt and storage rot caused by F, experiences severe losses annually. With oxysporum f. Hey, sp. Oh, gladioli. The growth of F was substantially inhibited by the strains of gladiolus rhizosphere isolates of P. fluorescens. With oxysporum f. Hey, sp. Oh, gladioli. Among the strains, P. fluorescens' PsL-4 has higher inhibitory activity compared to other strains. Hydrogen cyanide (HCN) was also produced by the strains of P. fluorescens, which restricted pathogen development. The study also revealed the presence of Siderophoremediated P. fluorescens antagonism. The development of metabolites by the P. fluorescens strain PsL-4 demonstrated antifungal activity against F. With oxysporum f. Hey, sp. Oh, gladioli. Some strains of P. fluorescens against different diseases have developed antibiotics, namely phenazine, phocyanine, pyreolnitrin and phoroglucinol.
