Evaluation of Growth Performance in Fish Production of Jharkhand | Chapter 1 | Current Strategies in Economics and Management Vol. 8

This study is based on secondary data obtained from the Government of Jharkhand Department of Fisheries. The growth rate of fish production was calculated during the period from 2001-02 to 2014-15.

The linear equation shows that the annual rise in fish production was close to 19% of the compound rate per year. The estimates for fish production in the state by 2020 are also estimated on the pattern of fish production over the century, and by 2020 the state will be able to generate close to 1.60 lakh tonnes, which would be closer to the state's per capita requirement. This undertaking is going to The supply of the state's nutritional status is definitely induced and the income of fish farmers is improved. The above review shows that, over time, fish production in the state has increased. Fish production has been estimated to increase by approximately 1.60 lakh tonnes in 2020 from 14 thousand tonnes in 2001. This means that the production of fish will boost both the state's nutritional status and the fish producers' profits.
