There are primarily two forms of injuries: acute injuries and injuries of overuse, injuries of overuse are more common in sports than acute injuries, are subtle and typically occur over time , making diagnosing and treating them difficult. The shoulders are disproportionately involved in almost all athletic activities to perform a required act of great strength , speed, and tolerance. The shoulder structures were not anatomically well adapted for all these features. Unfortunately, the dense, heavy structures of the lower body of an individual greatly withstand such relentless pressure & stress. It is best to be aware of these common shoulder injuries associated with sports and to know their signs that aid in finding medical attention in time; early treatment intervention could lead to a much better outcome and quicker return to practise and games. The golden rule, then, is that the first step in prevention is also to be conscious of common shoulder injuries and how they occur.
