Investigating the Dissipation of Fluopyram and Tebuconazole Residues in/on Pomegranate and Soil | Chapter 9 | New Ideas Concerning Science and Technology Vol. 2

The indiscriminate application of pesticides has contributed to the accumulation of residues of pesticides both in the main agricultural products and in the soil. The studies were conducted to establish the dissipation pattern of two fungicides by following Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) Fluopyram, a succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor (SDHI) and tebuconazole, demethylation inhibitor (DMI) were used for the management of powdery mildew and anthracnose diseases in grape and results indicated that fluopyram dissipated with a half life of 4.04 and 5.18 days, at The half life values observed for tebuconazole were 4.75 and 5.42 days, respectively. Residues reached below the 10th and 15th day quantification limit (BQL) in both fungicides at the prescribed and twice the recommended dose, respectively, suggesting a 10-day pre-harvest period (PHI) for fluopyram and tebuconazole may be considered when 75g a.i./ha and 150g a.i./ha respectively are added.
