As it is an angiotensin-renin cascade receptor blocker and also the β-receptor blocker, Metosartan has been shown to be an effective medication against hypertension and induces relaxation through vasodilation of blood vessels in the core. The key drawback of the drug is its toxicity on male reproductive organ testicles, in addition to its beneficial effects. Drug effects chromatin folding in testes and sperm whether its effect is limited to experiments or is now an interesting research globally as it contributes to genetic aberrations leading in the next generation to cancer and hereditary diseases.
