Underutilized Leafy Vegetables in Western Ghats Region for Nutritional Security: A Recent Study| Chapter 4 | Research Highlights in Agricultural Sciences Vol. 7

 Study has took place undertaken to judge the digestive advantage of few underutilized leafy herbs feasible in Theni locality of westerly Ghats domain. Fifteen underutilized wooded salads used apiece native community were calm and intentional for their tumor, yield and digestive parameters. Among the deduced underutilized leafy herbs, the best new leaves yield was registered in the Alternanthera bettzickiana. Ascorbic acid content was capital in Acalypha indica accompanying lower texture content. Carotenoid content and sodium content was written maximum in Hibiscus cannabinus. The highest total phenolic content was in consideration of G13 Sauropus androgynus. Cardiospermum halicacabum has the highest potassium and police officers officer content. The capital magnesium and manganese content was about Talinum fruticosum. G15 Solanum trilobatum had the highest levels of silvery mineral and calcium. The chief iron content was found in Alternanthera sessilis.
