In previous publications, the multiple-resonator (MR) filter structure was introduced as a practical solution to dynamic harmonic analysis. This method is quite robust and provides for a reduction in computational cost by adopting a parallel structure with common feedback. The goal of this paper is to find design techniques that guarantee: I quasi-equiripple minimax frequency response in stopband(s), ii) wide flat-top amplitude response in the passband, and iii) reduced group latency, all of which are frequently required in standards. An efficient postprocessing compensation filter is used in this article to provide the necessary frequency responses for quick measurements under dynamic settings. The optimization design method is based on linear programming. In this method, both the passband flatness and the stopband attenuation are greatly improved at the same time. Three alternative optimization criteria are provided, along with design examples and their outcomes. The proposed method has been tested for up to 64 harmonics under various settings and shown to be a useful and efficient tool for estimating harmonic components.
