Detailed Study on Characterization of Best Algebraic Approximation by a Generalized Modulus of Smoothness | Chapter 11 | Theory and Practice of Mathematics and Computer Science Vol. 7

The paper introduces the Jackson inequality and the related inverse inequality in terms of the generalized moduli of smoothness for the best algebraic approximation. In addition, the equivalence between the generalized modulus and the modulus of the Butzer-Stens is shown.
