Best Proximity Point for a New Class of Proximal Contraction | Chapter 5 | Theory and Practice of Mathematics and Computer Science Vol. 7

Here, a new contraction class is added, namely generalized proximal contraction (alpha-alpha)^(h-F)-Geraghty. Then after that, in a full metric space, we demonstrated a best proximity theorem that ensures the existence of the best proximity point for such contraction. The best proximity point theorem obtained by Hamzehnejadi and Lashkaripour (Fixed Point Theory and Applications, 2016) and other associated fixed point theorems in the literature is expanded by our outcome.
