Philosophy of Science and Political Inquiry – Notes on Dowding, Weber and Myrdal| Chapter7 | New Horizons in Education and Social Studies Vol. 5

 

An fascinating and stimulating book on the importance (R) of general philosophical observations to the conduct of political science research was written by Professor Dowding. In this article, because of the importance (R) difficulty, I doubt his optimistic interpretation. A collection of metaphysical questions must be dealt with by the social sciences, but they hardly belong to general ontological or epistemological theories.
