The Nigerian Open University has been using the traditional pen-and-paper method to screen students since its inception in 2002, but there are many problems with the process and the university is unable to publish student results. was. On time, some students are incompetent to graduate within the time recorded. These issues have led to the introduction of electronic assessment at the Nigerian National Open University. This chapter examines the history that led to the introduction of electronic assessment in Nigerian higher education institutions. We have introduced some basic concepts of e-assessment.
