Based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and structural equation modelling (SEM) supported by AMOS 20 software, the research intends to discover the elements impacting teachers' behavioural intention and usage behaviour of information technology (IT) in lectures. The use of information technology in the classroom allows teachers to increase their creativity and flexibility in the classroom. The impact of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and topic characteristics on instructors' behavioural intention is investigated, followed by facilitating conditions and habit on teachers' IT usage behaviour. Data was gathered from instructors at an economic university in Vietnam's northwestern region. The findings reveal that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and subject characteristics all have a direct positive effect on a teacher's behavioural intention. Furthermore, the teacher's real usage behaviour has been influenced by behavioural aim, facilitating conditions, and habit. Finally, the study found that younger professors showed a higher behavioural intention to use technology in their lectures.
