Proposal of a Soft Robotics Gripper Solution Fabricated by Additive Manufacturing | Chapter 10 | Research and Developments in Engineering Research Vol. 6

This work aims the concoction of a soft machine intelligence application, more specifically a gentle gripper. The development of an original idea of a soft material handler (stupid gripper) is intended, worthy performing the stipulated management functions, through certain incitement mechanisms, meeting the necessities and constraints bestowed in the next sub-section. The mass killing is based on an bettering procedure supported on fundamental Finite Element (FE) analyses. Cost reasoning and prototype construction/confirmation finalize the judgment. The gripper was designed, a prototype was performed, and tests were carried out to justify correct operation. These tests were successful show the project as suitable for a absolute production environment.
