Redefining English Education: Independent Learning in the Online Era | Chapter 8 | An Overview of Literature, Language and Education Research Vol. 4

 Constructivism, independent English learning, internet, virtual English environmentStudies on independent learning, grounded in constructivist theories and supported by technological advancements, offer valuable insights into modern teaching theories and practices. With the increasing diversity of environments and methods for English learning, online independent English learning is playing an increasingly crucial role in modern education. This approach not only challenges traditional learning methods but also represents a forward-thinking shift in education. Drawing from the author’s experiences and research, this paper demonstrates that independent English learning through the Internet significantly enhances language proficiency. The paper examines the favorable and unfavorable factors influencing autonomous online English learning and suggests effective strategies for optimizing this approach. Furthermore, it discusses the implications of these findings for educators, learners, and policymakers, highlighting the need for ongoing support and resources to maximize the benefits of online learning. Directions for future research are proposed, focusing on the long-term impact of independent learning, the role of AI in personalized education, and strategies for bridging the digital divide.

Safe Electronic Healthcare System with Innovative Blockchain Technology| Chapter 4 | Current Overview on Disease and Health Research Vol. 8

 Because of the Internet's rebellious effect on the healthcare industry, inmates now have constant, unspecified area-and-anytime approach to their own health dossier. Medical inconsistencies linked accompanying Electronic Health Records (EHR) and concerns relating to solitude and security problems need expected resolved. Perhaps the best difficulty of all was lack of regularity and unfortunately it is not the only one accompanying EHR. In order to solve the questions of interoperability and privacy, decentralised connected to the internet ledgers using blockchain based programs have been submitted and implemented. Other troubles, though, persist. To be more specific, the concerning details issues of scalability, usability, and approachability. The first technological obstacle is the need to hold medical records in their miscellaneous formats off-chain while providing cautious access control to them on-chain. The second trouble is providing an accurate writing of who admit what data and how that dossier is shared now and then of medical importance. Because formal verification of smart contracts takes a very long time relative to treat a big block of transactions, approachability remains an open question. A Secure eHealth Framework (SeFra) is offered as a growing temporal blockchain solution to the earlier problems.

An Approach towards Traditional Judicial Systems to Digital Forms of Evidence | Chapter 10 | Technological Innovation in Engineering Research Vol. 5

There were many critics of the present administration's "Digital India" initiative at first. However, with its finger on the pulse of Young, Emerging India, several facilitations were offered with the single purpose of connecting technology with the general public. Thus, even in previously inaccessible locations, smart phones, laptops, and computers are becoming household names. On the other side, however, we also observe a sharp rise in crimes perpetrated online and using computers. Technology is a phenomena that changes constantly. It never stops evolving, modernising, or even renewing itself. Alongside the development of contemporary technology and hi-tech tools and equipment, crime has also increased. A perpetrator can easily plan, carry out, and finish a crime without being physically present at the crime scene thanks to the shift of criminal activity from the physical to the digital realm. This makes it challenging for investigators, law enforcement officials, and traditional legal systems that only consider physical evidence to identify the true perpetrator, establish guilt, and determine the seriousness of punishment. Using a desktop computer, a laptop, or even a smartphone, a criminal may carry out an illegal act while miles away from the scene of the crime, leaving no physical evidence of the crime's commission. They can also take use of web servers, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and 4G data transmission rates. In these circumstances, Digital footprints must be used since they are the only means to confirm that an illegal conduct was actually carried out and to find the person who did it. Digital footprints must be given their due in the current judicial system to aid in establishing the execution of an unlawful conduct, identifying the true offender, and calculating the appropriate level of punishment because the IPC's guiding concept is "Innocent until proven guilty." This essay aims to demonstrate the importance of digital footprints and how they are used by the current justice systems to confirm, attest to, and support the commission of an illegal act.

Functional Assessment of Currently Employed Technology Scale (FACETS) | Chapter 05 | New Horizons in Medicine and Medical Research Vol. 7

 Introduction: In the absence of statistics demonstrating that patients, particularly older persons, use information technology, insurers, institutional, and independent health-care providers have increased their use of websites for patient communication (IT). The FACETS (Functional Assessment of Currently Employed Technology Scale) was created to measure the frequency of internet and IT use among patients of various ages. FACETS is a 10-item questionnaire that evaluates five functional domains and has excellent internal consistency reliability, great general factor validity, and strong domain factor validity. According to FACETS research, IT usage decreases considerably as people get older than 60. The findings also show that when it comes to IT use, those over 65 are not a homogeneous group, nor is IT use a homogeneous category. FACETS illustrates that using websites to communicate with older adults may constitute a barrier to health care access. It is proposed that internet and IT usage be included as a specialised area of assessment or therapy in health care guidelines for working with older individuals.

Daily Life Support for and Widely Applicable Living Arrangement System under the Internet Environment: An Advanced Study | Chapter 11 | Recent Advances in Mathematical Research and Computer Science Vol. 3

 As advanced studies on the communicariont facility from the standpoints of their beneficiaries and social infrastructure, some fundamental concepts and technology relating well-being systems are examined. In an ageing society, we primarily mention them in relation to the subjective demands of individual beneficiaries. Thus, in common tele-health scenarios, low-cost, simple equipment is discussed rather than surveillance of beneficiaries, with community-wide medicare providing security. However, a focus is placed on face-to-face communication and ease of use for beneficiaries, with options such as playing games for the less fortunate and dementia sufferers as examples. The same technology approach based on broadband is then stated to enable remote teleconferences and teleeducation for depopulated rural areas. Here, a simple technology is used in principle on the basis of its safety, reliability, and flexibility, reflecting previous technical achievements for the well-being of people, and the active use of the Internet environment for the wide provision of convenience and assistance in daily life on public benefits. In addition, various approaches for system management and software provisioning to start the computer from a distance are proposed. We give technical perspectives from our research on broad engineering concerns relevant to the development and practical use of basic Internet functionalities. As information and communication technology advances, appropriate systems for daily living, entertainment, guidance, health care, rehabilitation, nursing, and medicare are methodically designed. They allowed the recipients to not only seek neighbours for help in an emergency and obtain daily requirements, but also to conduct effective activities and communications in distant islands and/or depopulated areas where medical personnel may be scarce. In order to communicate bilaterally with beneficiaries, the suggested basic system's expanded functionalities are used for various systems, which are provided as concrete methods and apparatus to convey their relevant data. Important methods for everyday life assistance and rescue of a lonely living person with a life-threatening illness are realised in this study by combining an additional button-type computer with proposed communication techniques that do not require any complicated manipulation in an Internet environment.

The internet is the answer to broadening — perhaps, breaking – the frontiers of learning in educational institutions. With Web 2.0 tools, there is now a new method of learning and teaching. Simultaneously, individuals interested in integrating technology into the classroom learning experience encounter a variety of hurdles. Technology has always aided in the improvement of even the most basic tasks, such as the traditional learning process. Internet access, teacher education, teachers/lecturers modelling for students, new extra skills or literacies, and alternate paths in integrating technology with the classroom experience are all issues that need to be addressed. The collaborative or shared leadership style appears to be the most appropriate for those involved in ensuring smooth technology integration in the classroom.

Investigating the Dimensions of Consumer Protection in E-Commerce | Chapter 4 | Modern Perspectives in Economics, Business and Management Vol. 10

 Any business transaction that involves the transfer of data via the internet is referred to as e-commerce. In recent years, electronic commerce has increased significantly. The distinction between "traditional" and "electronic" trading will dissolve in the future as more businesses migrate parts of their operations to the Internet. The Internet has given consumers a powerful tool for searching for and purchasing goods and services. The first business-to-consumer e-commerce site in India was Baazee.com. eBay paid $50 million for Baazee.com Inc. and its subsidiary Baazee.com India Pvt Ltd in 2004. New players such as Flipkart.com, Snapdeal.com, and Amazon.in entered the E-commerce business as internet availability increased in India. Several E-commerce enterprises, such as lenskart.com, which offers spectacles, specialise on a specific product sector. Businesses are also exploring into areas where customers are hesitant to buy products and services from traditional brick-and-mortar establishments, such as cilory.com, which sells a wide range of lingerie. The prevalence of smartphones has boosted the growth of E-commerce in India. The surge in popularity of E-commerce has brought with it a plethora of customer issues, including personal information leaks, unauthorised payments, and credit and debit card information theft. The present legal protections given in the sphere of e-commerce are investigated in this article. The research also looks into areas where there are still gaps to be filled.

Determination of Technological Advancement in the Era of COVID-19 | Chapter 13 | New Frontiers in Medicine and Medical Research Vol. 16

Globally, regional and municipal governments are working feverishly to find appropriate solutions to the COVID-19 situation. During this time, the government has had to ensure that all technology resources are used to combat the pandemic and address a wide range of COVID-19-related issues. The purpose of this study is to analyse the application of technical means and technological improvement in many areas as a result of the COVID-19 issue. How the government and health groups have implemented new policies to try to stop the spread of the coronavirus will be discussed. Lockdowns and social distancing measures, for example, have resulted in technical innovation and new ways of interacting with the government, corporations, and individuals as a result of these new regulations. Increased online shopping, robotic delivery systems, the advent of digital and contactless payment systems, remote working, the importance of technology in distant learning, Telehealth, 3D printing, and online entertainment are just a few examples of these changes. These technology breakthroughs have been welcomed by a few countries around the world throughout this epidemic, with certain limitations in some impoverished and developing countries.

Riding the Waves of Latent Herding Online Shopping Behaviour | Chapter 12 | Modern Perspectives in Economics, Business and Management Vol. 5

 The Internet has exploded in popularity in recent years, and many of its applications are now used by individuals all over the world. Online buying, a relatively new phenomenon in the field of electronic commerce (e-commerce), will undoubtedly be the way people shop in the future, especially during and after the coronavirus illness 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak. Online shopping appears to be one of the ways that clients shop nowadays, particularly among the younger generations and those who work. Because of its pervasiveness, the internet has become accessible to the majority of young working people, and many have begun to sell and purchase online. Despite the fact that internet shopping is now relatively prevalent, its growth in the Malaysian market is still lagging behind the worldwide industry. The potential rise of online shopping in Malaysia prompted the notion of conducting an exploratory research on the subject. A survey of 168 part-time students who work in the Klang Valley and also attend Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia was conducted (UKM). The goal of this research is to see how much they know about online purchasing and what factors influence their online shopping habits. Customer happiness, motivation, and influence from other purchasers are among the important reasons for customers to shop online, according to the findings of the study. Respondents have begun to shop online in the same way that other buyers have. The findings of the study could be used by scholars and practitioners to conduct future research in the same field.

Using Online Videos and Live Virtual Chats to Deliver Medical Curriculum in a Private University Setting during COVID 19 Movement Control Order | Chapter 5 | New Horizons in Education and Social Studies Vol. 4

 

A severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS-CoV 2), Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), emerged in the Huanan Seafood market in Wuhan , China. From 18 March 2020 to 9 June 2020, the Movement Regulation Order was declared in Malaysia, with the intention of flattening the incidence curve of the COVID 19 pandemic. Educational institutions were also on lockout along with other organisations, with 100 percent of the content being taught online. Although it has been widely thought in the past that online lecture videos posted to online platforms can be ineffective or cause disruptions or obstruct the instructional time and self-directed learning of students, we demonstrate otherwise. In order to test these claims and investigate the effects of teaching using voice recorded videos on medical subjects on the learning outcomes and motivation of students to learn, our research was conducted. Quantitative approach was used in this research, and two questionnaires were administered, both before and after. General achievement of students The study population (N=140) from a population of university students interested in tertiary education was split into experimental (N=96) and control (N=44) classes. The results showed that the use of online lectures on the Learning Management System platform strengthened the reasoning skills of students in terms of: comprehension of topics, application of information, and ability to reason. Our research also found that students who studied pathology through the use of online images, supplemented through interactive Zoom sessions, developed greater motivation to learn medicine, compared to students who studied medicine in a conventional way, in terms of self-efficacy, interest and enjoyment, and importance to the future of the student. There were both visual-pictorial and auditory-verbal capacities in the images. The positive and strong association between cognitive skills and motivation to learn science among the experimental students can be explained by this and the fact that students were engaged in active learning.

The culture of the 21st century is opening new spaces for learning and new spaces for teaching. It is
currently observed that our society was constituted in information and instant communication, given
the different technologies available for handling society in general. Technologies have favored rapid

equipment, which are many: TV, computer, mobile devices, which are associated with the use of
images, audios, videos, dimensions in 3D, among other mechanisms of human interaction. Therefore,

Perception about Cyber Crimes among Students in Arts and Science Colleges in Chennai: Critical Overview | Chapter 6 | Recent Advances in Science and Technology Research Vol.3

This chapter will focus on the access of internet, awareness and effectiveness required while
accessing net and its impact among the college students. The scope of study was limited to Chennai.
The sample study was confined to 150. This article has concentrated on the problems faced by college
students when access internet. Statistical tools such as Percentage Analysis, Chi-Square Analysis,
Weighted Average & Garette ranking test have been used to find out how the internet is used for the
academic and career development. Factor Analysis, have also been applied to reduce the number of
variables into few factors which bundles the similar variables based on the respond.
