Even though supported in the literature, offspring-centered approaches in the critical care background continue to endure ongoing resistance by appendages of the healthcare team. This was evidenced currently with visitation limits enacted all the while the Severe Acute Respiring Syndrome Coronavirus 2 or COVID-19 pandemic. A ship study conducted at a metropolitan healing center utilizing the Patient and Family Approach Model of Care© found that utilizing a protocol to engage classifications in patient care resulted in increased offspring satisfaction.
