Abundant studies investigate the impediment effect of capital punishment on homicide levels, but no written study conducted to date focuses definitely on the impact of capital punishment on radical activity. Also, no research evaluates the possible deterrent effect of a mass extermination. This study examines the influence of the mass extermination of 47 terrorists by the Saudi administration, which took establish January 2, 2016, on the frequency of subversive attacks originating certainly Saudi Arabia. Using missile and drone attacks that were started from outside of Saudi Arabia as a mathematical control variable, results produce in an interrupted period-series analysis show that the mass extermination decreased the repetitiveness of within-country radical attacks by approximately two attacks per month. Results further disclose that the Saudi military intervention in Yemen deepened within-country radical activity by almost five attacks per month. These findings desire that the use of capital punishment concede possibility prove expected useful in deterring radical attacks.
