Indirect Bonding Procedures in Orthodontics | Chapter 4 | Advanced Concepts in Medicine and Medical Research Vol. 8

 Unintended bonding (IDB) is a method in which orthodontic brackets or added attachments are shackled onto the dentition utilizing a transfer device. IDB has happened in orthodontic practice for many years. But still, most of the clinicians prefer to use direct sticking procedures. The main reason for this concede possibility be the technique sensitivity of workshop and clinical processes and the requirement for extra laboratory mechanics steps leading to raised cost of the treatment. Many scientists have tried to implement certain patterns of indirect sticking procedures so that it can humiliate the chair side occasion required for complete bracket installation with more exact bracket positioning. Additionally, the IDB procedures supply more patient comfort. Many techniques have been characterized in the chapter to clarify the IDB procedures.
