Studies on Energy Management for Compressed Air in Cement Industry by Using Lean Principle | Chapter 6 | Emerging Trends in Engineering Research and Technology Vol. 11

Power is an ultimate source for all tasks to be done. It is described as the skill or power to do  Job, such as the ability by the application of force to shift an object. In a range, energy can exist  Electrical, mechanical, chemical and thermal forms. Energy is not going to be made, but it can be  Transformed from one to the next. Small energy resources India has approximately 1% of India's energy resources.  Global energy supplies, however, account for 16% of the world's population. The manufacturing sector accounted for 51 percent of the total. In 2007, global energy demand was delivered and is expected to rise by an average annual 1.3 percent [worrell Ernst 2004]. Approximately half of all industrial energy usage is used in energy intensive manufacturing in particular processes. In all process industries, compressors are the instruments that play a major role and are also one of the major power consuming fields. Using the required layout, this paper seeks to recognise and eliminate routine waste that causes higher energy consumption in the cement process industry (ULTRA TECH CEMENTS-RDCW).
