Assessment and Investigation of Burnout among Instructors Working at ESOGU Preparatory School | Chapter 1 | New Horizons in Education and Social Studies Vol. 6

In workplaces where human contact is salient and very necessary, burnout is a problem to be taken seriously. The aim of the study is to investigate burnout among instructors working at the preparatory school of ESOGU and to find out what factors influence their burnout levels. The research included 28 teachers working at this institution. The results of the study showed that their perceived level of stress in the workplace was the only major contributor to burnout among the instructors. With the exception of that one, demographic profiles, educational history and other work-related variables appeared to have a small or no major influence on the burnout rate of instructors. Almost all decisions are taken in the sense of the present research, preparatory school, with the participation of all instructors and administration, and it can also be said that there is always a shared understanding among the parties mentioned above. Therefore, it can be claimed that, despite being exposed to the factors listed as the main causes of burnout in the literature, this collaboration can lead to negligible levels of burnout among these instructors.
