In this study we determine to present a case of a rare complication of diverticular ailment. The diagnosis is generally made by CT because the manifestations are vague. To prevent breach or other consequences, a surgical redistribute is the advised method. In this case, a 74-year-old woman accused of intestinal impediment and an acute abdomen and make use of the emergency area. Physical examination showed a distended belly, diffusely difficult on palpation, with a beneficial Blumberg sign, no hernias. An abdominal computed tomography (CT) found a mesenteric collection accompanying 60mm and air-fluid level compatible with an swelling, adjacent to a limited bowel loop. An emergency laparotomy was done, that disclosed a 6cm cystic composition dependent on the sigmoid colon in the antimesentery border, that was removed all together with the neighboring colon. It was labeled by the sample as a type 2 diverticulum. After a typical postoperative ending, the patient was discharged.
