Determination of Electromagnetic Radiations and Liver Fibrosis Influences the “Lifespan” of Bone Marrow Cells | Chapter 5 | Recent Developments in Medicine and Medical Research Vol. 1

Exogenous and endogenous stimuli influence the speed and direction of cell formation in bone marrow. It was previously demonstrated that liver fibrosis affects the morphotypes of bone marrow cells. The response of bone marrow cells to liver fibrosis and electromagnetic radiation was studied in this study. Bone marrow cells from rats of various ages were used as research subjects. In primary culture, lymphocytes from old animals (Wistar rats, 20 months) outlived lymphocytes from young animals (3 months). The "lifespan" of lymphocytes was lowered by liver fibrosis caused by copper sulphate and carbon tetrachloride treatment. The number of cells in the bone marrow is affected by electromagnetic radiation (70 kHz 600 V / m) and apoptosis is induced. At the level of bone marrow cells, a study of the influence of electromagnetic radiation for 4 hours, 1.3, and 5 days revealed a U-shaped dependence of the response.
