This study examines the findings of social and psychological studies on the Patterns and Motives of Elementary School Students in Using Social Networks. It is based on the "uses and gratification approach," which is useful in analysing communication's effects. Across the globe, social networks drew millions of members of all ages. The study's goal is to determine the impact of the gender variable on (pattern, reasons, positive and negative impacts) among elementary school students who use social media. The descriptive concept, the demographic survey form, and the questionnaire are all used in this study. The study's participants were 254 students (of both genders, with boys accounting for 48.8% and girls for 51.2%) from two different public elementary schools (Boys only and Girls only). The findings found that there were disparities between males and females in terms of social positive and negative affects, with males being more negatively influenced and females being favourably impacted by using social networks. This research proposes additional in-depth studies and research on the effects of the internet on social behaviour.
