E-Learning as a Tool for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education | Chapter 11 | New Horizons in Education and Social Studies Vol. 8

The e-learning industry has recently surged and is recognised as a new trend of modern education. E-learning functions as a platform consisting of many forms of computers and electronic media, which are both contact and Internet resources, offering training and access to information on particular topics. Students can take online classes anywhere, regardless of time and location, by using E-Learning. E-Learning is more based on self-training in general and is ideal for people who work full time but want to pursue their studies. This research has therefore been developed and integrated with the variables that contribute to the efficacy of e-learning as a teaching and learning (T&L) strategy tool. Using self-administered questionnaires targeting higher education students, a quantitative approach is applied. The results of this research will therefore help to provide in-depth information on the current education system in Malaysia, especially in the context of the development of strategies for improving education for the country as a whole.
