Background: Breast Oncology clinic operated in Mankweng Academic Hospital, Limpopo province, South Africa for Eight-year from 2015 to 2023. During this period, a total of 1761 new breast cancer patients were seen. Female 1741(98.86%) and male 20 (1.14%).
The main objective of this book to share the experience and
research finding of the following articles from Mankweng Breast Oncology
clinic. It highlights the disparities in healthcare access, the prevalence of
advanced-stage diagnoses, and the unique molecular and clinical patterns in
both HIV-positive and negative patients. By addressing rare tumour types and
underexplored aspects such as male breast cancer, the manuscript contributes to
a nuanced understanding of breast cancer in resource-limited settings.
