Evaluating the Validity of Ahara and Vihara in Ayurveda: Non-Adherence to their Principles as Risk Factors for Disease | chapter 7 | An Overview of Disease and Health Research Vol. 2

The chronic disease crisis has afflicted humanity for many years. As an insight, diseases related to metabolic syndrome such as cardiovascular disease (CVD) and type 2 diabetes (T2DM) are proving particularly costly, with costs predicted to spiral out of control, particularly in countries in South and East Asia. In Ayurveda, such disease crisis are explained in terms of imbalances in patients’ physiological regulatory systems. Life-style habits—such as smoking, alcohol intake, no exercise etc.—are well-known risk factors for disease, often understood as effects of particular molecules. Patients’ life-styles tend to create ongoing strain on physiological regulation, so that restoring patients’ regulatory systems to states of natural homeostatic and allostatic balance is necessary to restore health. Systems of traditional medicine advise on habits like Yoga practice, timings of meals, retiring to bed and rising. This study present a non-rigorous demonstration of how such influences can be subject to usual contingency table risk-factor analysis. Data were collected from patients at Rasähära Kendra clinics in the city of Bhopal, who completed questionnaires on life-style and health-related habits, health history and current status. Supplementary data was obtained from independently interviewed citizens of Bhopal. Classic risk factor analysis was carried out by using categorical Yes/No variables answering the two questions. The data were analyzed using Excel and pad. The result indicated that a variety of diet and lifestyle factors considered important in South Asian Traditional, Complementary, and Alternative Medicine (TCAM) systems of medicine like Ayurveda and Yoga may be shown to influence values of BMI considered important in metabolic syndrome, and various aspects of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. Although non-rigorous, results demonstrate how such methods may validate life-style factors from traditional medicine: not observing them increases disease susceptibility. The study concluded that it is practical to obtain and analyse data testing influences of lifestyle factors on the aetiology of various diseases and their complications, as suggested by Ayurveda, and indeed other TCAM systems. Further, more rigorous research should be implemented to validate these findings.

The Application of Motivational Interviewing in the Treatment of Chronic Diseases | Chapter 2 | Disease and Health: Research Developments Vol. 5

Background: Patients with chronic diseases are prone to negative emotions such as anxiety and depression, which reduce treatment compliance and hinder physical recovery. Motivational interviewing is a new psychotherapy that is becoming increasingly mature in the treatment of chronic diseases.

Objective: The objective of the study is to understand the current research and application status of motivational interviewing in the treatment of chronic diseases. On this basis, the shortcomings are pointed out and the research prospects are proposed.

Methods: The literature retrieval method was used to review empirical papers published in English or Chinese in the past 20 years in PubMed, Google Scholar, CNKI, and the Wanfang database.

Results: Thirty-three articles were included. Previous studies have shown that MI has a positive effect on the condition, medication compliance, self-efficacy, and quality of life of patients with chronic diseases.

Conclusion: Improving the standardization of MI implementation procedures, strengthening the training and supervision of therapists, and improving the evaluation methods of intervention effects can help expand the application of MI in the treatment of chronic diseases.

Determination of COVID-19 Vaccine Uptake among People with Underlying Chronic Conditions: A Collaborative Community Approach Study | Chapter 11 | Advanced Concepts in Medicine and Medical Research Vol. 3

The purpose concerning this chapter is to accept the reason why crowd choose not to get immunized to direct our efforts on well-being education, health publicity, and to expand our efforts of Community Outreach to the distinguishing population. COVID-19 immunization has substantially altered the course of the universal, saving tens of heaps of lives globally. However, inadequate approach to vaccines in low-income nations has limited the impact in these scenes, reinforcing the need for global cure equity and inclusion. Understanding the global impact of vaccination on the course of the COVID-19 universal is challenging likely the heterogeneous access to vaccines accompanying different levels of transmission and continuous non-pharmaceutical interferences across countries. We conducted an extrinsic independent ship study which would serve as a trustworthy basis for future studies since the COVID-19 universal has proven expected extremely challenging accompanying a constantly mutating bug resulting in continual changes to cure mandates, requirement of supplementary booster doses, and different perceptions towards the vaccinations. To identify the variables doing vaccination agreement across diverse demographics, multivariable reversion analyses were carried out. This study surveyed the acceptance of the COVID-19 immunization across the wards in DC and how it varies in population with various SDoH and underlying chronic environments. The current study revealed that population who had no chronic environments were more likely to get immunized when compared to those accompanying one or more than individual chronic condition. The significance of this study for public health is that it helps us recognize the causes of vaccine hesitancy, that will help us establish trust, extend our reach, provide specialized fitness education, and boost immunization availability for all cultures in the District of Columbia.

Advances in Treating Chronic Disease| Book Publisher International

Since ancient times, in the medical field, people have taken advantage of natural substances to cure diseases. Today, modern medicine is constantly developing, inheriting from the ancients to continue to conduct new research and produce effective treatment products for several diseases that are considered chronic today.

The compositions mentioned in the book have successfully treated a number of supposedly chronic diseases, such as cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma caused by HBV and HCV infections; increased antibodies against COVID-19 in immunocompromised patients, infertility due to orchitis, the testicles are unable to produce spermatozoon, help the testicles complete five successive stages: (1) spermatogonia, (2) primary spermatocytes, (3) secondary spermatocytes, (4) spermatids, and (5) spermatozoon; protecting the fetus, and helping the fetus to develop to full term in a uterus with multiple fibroids. The selective compositions act on the patient's immune system, helping the body to resist harmful effects from the environment. Thanks to the natural substances: Flavonoids; Ascorbic Acid; Pyridoxal phosphate; Pregnenolone, they act as anti-inflammatory agents, enzymes that catalyze the body's chain reactions, as well as natural hormones. They have corrected chronic inflammatory disorders, tumors that grow out of control, causing a number of dangers to the patient's health. Research has shown that flavonoids and vitamins such as Ascorbic Acid, Pyridoxal phosphate, and Pregnenolone mentioned in this book have the necessary biological activity. They have a high impact potential, help the body to regulate, inactivate viruses, dissolve inflammatory tissue, prevent and destroy cancer cells at an early stage.

With practical evidence, the book will give readers an overview of the potential that needs to be discovered from nature to serve human life.

Brief Overview of Obesity: A Chronic Disease | Chapter 13 | Current Innovations in Medicine and Medical Science Vol. 5

In 2017, further than 2 billion grown-ups were fat. Of these 650 million were fat, 39 of grown-ups progressed 18 times and over were fat in 2016 and 13 were fat. utmost of the world's population lives in countries where fat and rotundity kill further people than glutted. 41 million children under the age of 5 were fat or fat in 2016. further than 340 million children and adolescents aged 5- 19 were fat or fat in 2016. According to the World Health Organization( WHO) the symptoms of rotundity areIncreased appetite, Lack of passions of food achromatism, briefness of breath, increased sweating, Rattling, unfit to deal with unforeseen physical exertion, Feeling of diurnal fatigue, Back and joint pains, and Low tone- regard and tone a feeling of insulation from social groups. It should be noted that the mechanisms of development of the colorful labels are linked to one another with the main one of the habitual inflammation. From the below, we conclude that rotundity should be treated not only with Body Mass Index( BMI), but as a habitual intermittent complaint, similar as diabetes or hypertension, characterized by abnormally distributed or redundant body fat that affects health. It requires lifelong operation, like other habitual conditions and the operation of medical, insalubrious and behavioral ways for timely treatment.

COVID-19 Infection as a Chronic Disease: Factors and Medication Perspectives | Chapter 12 | Current Overview on Disease and Health Research Vol. 2

Despite being incredibly contagious due to its highly infectious nature, the disease's global spread is aided by self-awareness because a large portion of patients are mild or asymptomatic. Public health actions against the Corona virus should reduce the number of people who are infected with influenza in order to prevent the two viruses from infecting one another. The development of a chronic disease care model for "POST-COVID-19" and the implementation of epidemic prevention measures for the winter of 2020 will be aided by the successful combination of using antiretroviral therapy and antibiotics in several inflammation in multi-organs with supportive therapies in this case report in region Puglia ASL Taranto, PPI 118- emergency department and pneumonia department in Saint Giuseppe Moscati hospital, Taranto, Italy. A lung CT scan and positive X-ray for bilateral ground glass opacity, which indicated a considerable rise in alveolar capillary permeability and consequent interstitial edoema, verified the symptoms of acute respiratory failure. The presence of a persistent widespread bronchopathy with emphysematous morphologies was verified to be a pulmonary embolism. In the right lung, there were large, unevenly distributed regions of parenchymal consolidation that largely affected the lower lobe and the apical and dorsal portions of the upper lobe.

The Self-management of Chronic Disease in the Digital Era | Chapter 6 | Issues and Development in Health Research Vol. 7

The factors linked with computer use for self-management of health among Israelis diagnosed with chronic diseases are investigated in this study. We differentiate between (a) online health information access and (b) online health service utilisation. We contacted a geographically representative sample of 2008 people. 1406 people (67.6%) said they used the computer to deal with health issues. We want to see how people with chronic conditions (heart, cancer, diabetes, and hypertension) use digital health information and services to manage their condition (N=225). Our goal is to (a) highlight how common self-management is among chronically ill people, (b) determine that using online services is not always associated with using online health information, and (c) investigate the factors that influence the use of online health information versus online health services.

Chronic disease boosts access to online health information, but its effect on use of online health services is specific to (a) kind of chronic disease, i.e., heart problem, and (b) type of supplied service, i.e., medical updates, as indicated by a series of logit regression models. These findings suggest that while computer use improves the possibility of higher empowerment, it may not always lead to increased use of online health services supplied by the healthcare provider among people with chronic diseases, reducing the likelihood of improved self-management. Health policy implications are highlighted.
