The colorimetry and fluorometry of four types of samples
from geological, animal and botanical sources is described. The main conclusion
is that the weighted ordinate method of calculating color coordinates is
amazingly robust, enabling photometry signals from a variety of optical systems
to be correlated subjectively. This enables us to study samples with a complex
crystalline or fibrous structure.
